Stop SDSC activists Not Guilty

The six Midlands activists who were on trial for their peaceful protest against the Specialist Defence and Security Convention UK (Telford, November 2023) got some great news yesterday. Alison Bath, Rajan Naidu, Louise Scrivens, Ralph Wallin, Frances Wilde, and Heather Wilde were found NOT GUILTY of charge under Section 1 of the Public Order Act 2023.

Thank you to all of you for supporting the action in whatever way, the court days and the verdict hearing this coming Monday.

Judge Wheeler issued his verdict on Friday 28th by email to the Telford 2023 defendants. Read the verdict in full

The Judge stated, "Their actions indicate that they intended what they achieved – a peaceful, rather short-lived, targeted protest which caused minimal disruption for a modest time. It cannot be proven to the criminal standard that they intended anything else."
